Did you know? The word pot-luck appears in the 16th century English work of Thomas Nashe, and used to mean "food provided for an unexpected or uninvited guest”, the luck of the pot. The modern execution of a "communal meal, where guests bring their own food," most likely originated in the 1930s during the Depression.
Well we ain’t in the period of depression and neither are you uninvited. This Pot Luck is just another excuse to get together at the Gig House for a communal gathering!
Each guest to contribute a sizable amount of a meal/ dessert/ drink. The host will be in touch as soon as you book to ensure we have a good spread at the table!
Cooking not one of your skills? Don’t worry, a packed meal would do too. All we need is some good spirit, and cheer!
